In the near-future, Borik\u00e9n (Puerto Rico) flourishes under the stewardship of Caciques\u2014young Ta\u00edno leaders who have built a community beyond the colonizing reach of the United Nations Parliament. But peace proves difficult for people who have devoted so much of themselves to surviving war. As Ag\u00fceyban\u00e1, Yu\u00edza, Anacaona, and their community struggle to build lives beyond resistance, old conflicts resurface in unexpected forms.
